4in1 Sporty Ponytails for Genesis 9

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Purchase 4in1 Sporty Ponytails for Genesis 9 and well the product seems to display the hair not as strands. The hair appears more like it has a geo shell or as I joking call it the hair looks like Play doh hair. and their is nothing with the product to fix that issue. Never had a hair product give this is issue. Any suggestions to get it to work is greatly appreciated.

    it looks like it has no texture maps. i have the hair and it works ok so far

    They all load correctly for me.

    thanks will try delete and reload the program again see if that gets the texture maps to load

    So uninstalled and re installed 4- 1 Sporty ponytails for gen 9 I tried different hair same results. It seems for me every product by outoftouch is giving me the same issue of Play dough hair> I am seeing this on the 3-1 Gothic hair which work a week age now is also doing the same issue of visibilty making the the hair look like play dough too.

    The first outfit looks odd too. Out of Touch do have some shared files that they use for many products, how do you install? Have you tried reinstalling the Default Resources product, in case there is an issue there?

    Any thoughts on fixing this or to report this. I am never seen this before and I do not want to throw posts all across the forums. I am paying for Premier membership. I am not  understanding or finding anything with the product to fix this either.The issue appears tied to products from Out of touch my other hair items seem to be working, So any help or link wether it be a video or PDf would be greatly appreciated. If none are available then I will file a ticket later. Thanks for reading this.

    Have you tried it on a diferent figure i'm asuming it's the same one, as Richard sys there is somthing not quite right

    I tried it on different Gen 9 characters and I discovered the issue was happening with multiple products from Out of Touch such as the Shy fringe hair, Autumn Style hair, 3-1 gothic style hair as well

    Which version of Daz Studio are you running, and which shader is listed for the hair?

    As i said, Out Of Touch uses often uses shared files for the materials - if one is bad it may be being used for several hairs. How you install makes a difference to how that might be checked or fixed.

    Currently I am using Daz 4.23  I tried different shader colors and even different hair products from Out of Touch

    Just asking but do you get a warnig come up about missing files.

    OK, in that case installing (or reinstalling) one of the recent hairs should make sure any shared files are the current version. Is your Default Resources product up to date too?

    If there is a problem with the file, it is recommended not just to reinstall it, but to delete the file and download it again.

    Install after all downloads are complete.
