Improving DAZ Studio Rendering Quality & Times

I use an MSI GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, which can produce washed-out whites and overly-bright highlights when I use Iray and infinitely long render times I'm obliged to use 3Delight. Would upgrading to the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 make an appreciable difference? Or would I get the improvements I'm seeking with a different render engine? There is in this marketplace a free Octane Render Kit that seems to promise advanced render options. Has anyone any thoughts on this matter? Much thanks to one and all.

Check Burn Highlights and Crush Black values in render settings. At least in the latest beta the default values have changed.

That said an RTX 3050 has 6 GB and VRAM, and that can fast be used, so you only can use CPU for rendering, so a GPU with more VRAM will be better.

You can look in your log Help > Troubleshooting > View Log if your GPU runs out of memory.

  • Thanks for yours, felis. It is appreciated. I'm thinking it's time for a better G-card. I've forgotten when I installed the present one.
