ALL artists are featured artists?

I don't understand today's sale. if all artists are featured artists and featured artists are 50% off, why aren't all artists and their products 50% off?

    Or do they only indicate 50% off for artists who are NOT actual featured artists? I get that new releases don't count.

    Also not sure why I keep getting a notice about the 20% off coupon "only valid today" that I used yesterday since it was "only valid today".

    If it's like previous sales, all artists have at least something off from their store, but how much of their store is on disscount will vary. 

    (Full disclosure: haven't poked around to verify; I just ran through my short bookmark list of priority stuff, went "I've seen it for better" and called it a day.)
