Hair not fitting to figure correctly?

Hello,
I am trying to attach the Mio Hair by Panda to the figure Sia by Handspan Studio. However, when I attach the hair to the Sia model, it looks clumped together, like it's oily.

I'm new to DAZ so any insight would be helpful, thank you.

So the hair from here: https://www.daz3d.com/mio-character-and-mio-hair-for-genesis-8-and-81-females

    Fitted to this model: https://www.daz3d.com/sia-for-genesis-8-female

I suppose there might be hidden morphs that are applied when the hair is fitted to the figure it was built for, compared to the generic fit applied to other G8F models. The shortcomings of the latter might be more apparent in a toon figure than a more naturalistic one. But I'm not seeing any great difference between the two hairs in your screenshot.

My experience is hair can get distorted when applied to toon characters.  Another option you can try is: 1.  Load character.  2 .  Deselect character  3.  Load hair.  4. Position hair and parent it to character's head.  It is harder to parent long hair properly but sometimes works (depends on style).  I don't own the hair product so I can't test how well parenting works with this item.  However, I use lots of toon characters.
