Can't figure issue with mask builder 2, ultra scenery 2 and Alienator 2
So, for the last couple of days I've been trying to make some renders with USC2 and I thought I'd try the masking and replacing with Alienator 2. Setting up the base scene is fun, but once I got to the masking and alienator stuff, I'm stuck.
I'll try to add pictures, but I basically have a wrecked car I want to have overgrown with some weeds. Probably doesn't really happen irl, but I thought it might look fun. I get the instances all set up, and they show up in the preview. But when I render the scene in either iray preview or a full render, they're nowhere to be seen. I had to add a mask invert on to only have them show up on the masking square, but it seems like they are vanishing without a trace. So I'm guessing that alienator and maskbuilder are working, but I'm missing some setting somewhere. They did show up at one point in a previous saved scene, but I can't get them to show up. I do think I see a little weed popping up in the iray preview (I replaced the small weeds with the alienator, bigger plants).
Adding to that. I'm struggling with getting the entire scene to move to the floor. I've added it to a group and moved it down so I can use the floor grid to easier pose stuff and also use the ground fog option. But sometimes the scene gets totally messed up when I move that group, and I'm not sure how far I can move characters out (as I've read, it sometimes messes things up).

First off, UltraScenery 2 grows on the terrain, not on items on the terrain. So to overgrow the truck in woods, I would:
(a) Use MaskBuilder to mask away any large trees too close to it, ( as I guess you want the truck in some dense jungle like woods)
(b) Use MaskBuilder to flatten the ground around the vehicle to avoid too much irregular ground (or how did the car get there if it's too bumpy)
(c) Use Alienator Pro to turn the biomes to what you need for the forest to look like you want.
(d) Use UltraScatter to scatter plants onto the wreck in a separate new scene, wrap that into a Group node and save that grouo as a scene subset
(e) Merge that scattred wreck subsset into the scene
I actually just figured out what the issue was. Apparantly I've changed a texture at some point, making the scene at 256 resolution, while I started the whole thing at 128. I've changed that and it's working fine now :-)
Ah, ok, good work!
