Need help making a scroll bar

Does anyone have a simple example of how to add a scroll bar to a QVBoxLayout or to the pane in general please ?

I've had no luck on the QT forums.

I just need it for my stack plugin freebie.

I had thought it might be an automagic thing...but no, it's not.

One of the reasons I don't like coding...what I think can be done and what can actually be done, easily, are usually not the same thing and much frustration ensues...
