Camera Culling

I read elsewhere about camera culling which, when enabled, means that items not in camera view are omitted from the rendering process. It is supposed to help improve previewing speed (I asume in geometrically or procedurally heavy computation scenes). That discussion was for Blender3D, but I wondered if there is such a function or a script add-on in DS ?
