We need specifics to see if we can help. What is going on with the rendering?

If you mean the issue with the thenlatest drivers, they have certainly released a newer driver to address a serious security flaw but I am not sure if it has addresed any other issues, including the Iray rendering problem.

do you recommend installing a new driver?

I just did a couple of quick renders without issue, but I can't recall how readily the issue wass triggered (until yesterday my drivers were too old for it to matter). You could always test and roll back if need be, but remember that the security issue is - if it can be exploited - quite serious, and I wouold think nVidia drivers are common enough to make a big target to motivate malware creators.

so they have a security problem, for now I'll keep the old driver to be safe because I render 3000 images and it always switches to the processor after an hour. but the graphics still work with this driver. Trying it would only slow me down, I let the images render while I sleep
