[solved] What happens to the premier acquisitions during those cancel/reactivate sessions?

A question with regards to those premier only acquisitions.
It is understood that they are only usable while a member.

Now, in order to change payment types, update CC info, etc. one has to cancel their membership, then rebuy it with the new payment information. Not to be losing time, this all can be done while a valid membership exists.
However the system will have flagged the membership as cancelled, and then restarted. And quite likely for some there may be a break of time between the old membership and new membership for various reasons.

So, big question -- are all the goodies acquired which cease to be available when the membership is cancelled, going to reappear as available as the membership is reinstated?  {both any free ones as well as those purchased}

    To date, every product exclusive to Premier were free and I don't remember them saying they will sell products only usable by active Premier members, so you won't lose content you purchased while Premier.

    I think as long as you don't have a minute during which you're not a Premier member anymore, you should be fine. But if you let your subscription lapse, you may lose some content.

    5. What is the exclusive Premier Only content mentioned on the Premier page that is only available while you have an active Subscription?

    • With each Character Bundle release (2-3 per month) there will be exclusive content that will be auto-added to the accounts of Premier members at that time.  You can keep and use this content for as long as you have an active premier membership.
    • Examples would be Aiko 9 and Dark Elf Shape for Vicky 9.
    • Content that is removed due to letting a Premier subscription lapse is not guaranteed to be available on reinstating the membership at a later time.
    • We currently do not plan to offer Add-on Licenses to the exclusive content. (3D Printing, Interactive etc.)

    I'd suggest opening a sales support ticket before cancelling if there's going to be a point where you don't have premier service. As I understand it if you cancel, you're still premier as long as your within a month of your last payment. So if you're just changing payment methods, it should be fine. But if there's a gap, best to check with sales support to see how much of a gap they'll accept.

    I would hope and expect that in a case like this there would be no issue in getting Premier Exclusives back - after all, the FAQ doesn't say they will be removed - only that they are not guaranteed to be restored.

    Given the delay between exclusives being released and when they show up on accounts, I'd think a support ticket would be good for ensuring one is in whatever queue would restore the items.  Also since it's early days, we haven't yet reached the point where an exclusive wouldn't be available to new subscribers, but they haven't said that the exclusives would be an ever-expanding set of content either. It might be worthwhile to know if the current exclusives will be available to someone who joins next year. (barring unforeseen changes to the service or the exclusive) After all, if the exclusives are time-limited, then trying to get them back after a gap in subscription becomes something I wouldn't suggest leaving up to an automated system.

    I still sthink that 'exclusives' perk should be turned into a free during a release window, after that sell to everyone else. No DRM as it would be pointless.

    That would solve the sub lapsing problems, the potential changes on on a 'set' and also  licencing limitations. And all that while still being a perk to keep premiers subbed, as if they only sub once every 2 or more months, they would not get all free for them releases.

  • Thank you for all the replies. I missed one of the aforementioned statements mentioned by Elor.

    So it is best to not let lapses occur if one wants to be sure of keeping access to all their perks.
