So I updated to Daz 4.23 early last week, and I just noticed that the render log screen is showing something different whilst rendering. What is Scene Traversal? Is it something new in 4.32 or has it been there a while and I've just not noticed it before? The line in the render log box is Iray (Scene Traversal) : Retrieving journal and checking for changes. That's new to me.

I don't think it is new, no - it is, I believe, part of preparing to render.
Hmmm... well, then line recurs all the way through the render process, not just when it starts to render, it will process saome iterations and then then break with that line text before continuing with the next iterations. That's why I was curious, but if it's just part of the process then it's fine. I just don't recall seeing it before, especially the bit about retrieving journal and checking for changes.
I'm not sure it appeared in the log before 4.23, but I've seen mentions of Scene Traversal in the "Daz Studio Pro 4.12 - NVIDIA Iray" thread for example so it doesn't seem to be something new at all.
Ahhhh... so something that happened in the background beefore, but is now included in the render log output. No problem, just something I need to get used to seeing then..
