Is there any way to contact creators who post their assets in the Daz store?

I found a character that I wanted to buy, but the hair that comes with it has a cap attached to it (not removable), was going to try and contact the creator and see if they would make the hair available without the attached cap, but I don't see any way of contacting them, so if anyone knows how that could be done, it would be appreciated, thanks.

For most PAs there is no way to contact them directly - it is like this is on purpose. The official way is to raise a support ticket and Daz will pass it on if appropriate. Some PAs will create a thread in the forums to both promote and offer support for that product - although this is rare for hair I think. If there is such a thread for the hair then you can post your question there.

However, what you are after doesn't sound impossible. Which hair is it? Even if the cap is non removable you should still be able to click on the surface and drop the opacity to make it invisible.

Attached is an image I got from a friend, they tried to hide the cap itself with cutout opacity, but it looks like the hair is not complete underneath.
I like the hair, but I want to be able to remove the cap, but they said there's no option to do that, so I don't want to spend out the money to buy it if it's not removable or the hair doesn't come separate from the cap.

"Making the hair available" without the cap would require modeling the rest of the hair that's hidden by the cap, rebuilding all the morphs and probably making some new ones. Generally when hair comes with a hat, the hair was built around the hat.

Yeah, well I sent an email to the Daz store seeing if they could contact the creator and see if it's possible to get the hair asset without the cap, even if it's a separate purchase.
It's unlikely, but no harm in asking, but I'm not getting my hopes up, just see what happens I guess

If the entire hat can be hidden via opacity, you could hide the hat and add another, shorter hair (like a bob or an updo) to the character, then use a hair shader on both hairs to make them match. With a bit of minor fiddling, it would look like a complete hairstyle. I combine hair sets this way all the time. It's a great way to come up with something new and unique or to compensate for a hair set like this when it doesn't quite work the way you want it to.
