Rendering Jepe's dForce Omni Hair under 3Delight render engine.

Is there any way of converting the Jepe's dForce Omni Hair product to render with the 3Delight render engine?

I've already tried Iray to 3Delight conversion tools with no success.

  • The converter is older than the shader, so I would expect it to fail (at least partially). 3delight does suport curves, but I am not sure what settings for object and surface would be needed for the hairs.

Omni hair is not a type of hair, but a shader used on hairs. It's also not very dependent on texture maps, so I'm not sure how much there would be for the converter to act on. I just loaded a strand-based hair into a blank scene and it rendered just fine in 3Delight with the earlier Iray hair shader, UberSurface and the 3Delight hair shader included in the dForce Starter Essentials.
