I want to add textures/shaders in Bryce on dolls and window shop mannequins with a typical porcelain effect - from smooth porcelain up to cracked effects. Where can I download free ones for this purpose?

shaders dont really exist for bryce....but an alternative is just google search images and edit them in bryce to fit your needs, sorry its not great advice but i hope that helps :) ...if i get some free time i might be able to make you a few textures, for free of course :)
There are a ton of materials for Bryce...many nice freebies...

David has a tutorial here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/53147/show-us-your-bryce-renders-part-9/p45 Maybe you would like to make your own
launok - porcelain is simple to make in the materials lab, no need to hunt for textures or shaders. The challenge is to get the light (reflection/gloss/specular) right. Farther down and on the following page of mermaid's link are examples.
Tim, thanks for offering this when you could find the time. There are so many products for sale at Daz's store but unfortunately I can't afford those. Also Daz Studio shaders doesn't work in Bryce at all I have noticed when trying them. Bryce is my main render program.
@mjc1016 - I will have a look at these, thank you!
@mermaid010 - thanks for link
@Horo - thanks for advice
Laura
is this kind of what you had in mind ?
Hi Tim, more or less. I want to use the textures on a figure, i.e. porcelain doll. Your second image is maybe a bit too much grooved for the doll. Just simple crack lines as to give the doll an older look as in 1st image sample but also a plain porcelain feel as 2nd image.
If you are going to make such textures, is it possible to make a porcelain with only a few cracks and another one with more cracks? The one with more cracks can also be added to an old pottery, if you understand what I mean. I will go and search for another picture. Ok, added.
I want to add textures to doll's body parts as well.
yes that can be done, ill post an image when i have something ready :)
Hi Laura. If you mean cracelures, they can be easy to do in Bryce.
Look also at these vases:

If you can not make such procedural textures in Bryce, then let me know your email in the PM and I'll send them to you. You just change some of the parameters of the material (bump, color, scale, etc.).
My attempt at cracked porcelain... Made from within Bryce using the Mat Lab and Deep texture Editor.
Handy
(well someone had to say it)
Thank you for your time!
Wow, this is looking great!
Stunning images in your gallery! I have pm'd you.
Thanks Launok... And you can blend it with flesh colours or UV maps for more of a dolls face effect, though getting it spot on would take a bit more time than I have at the moment.
Okay.
I sent you something by email.
Now with less hairline cracks and more random bits missing... I think this looks quite natural.
Great textures, Dave and Slepalex!
