Nullcasting, you are entered into the challenge.  I extended it until 5 pm CST.  Only a few more hours.

  • HansmarHansmar Posts: 2,948

Rasberri, that is a wonderfull scene. Great to see so many items in one Bryce scene.

Dan, that is a great entry too. I guess it is Cancun laugh..

Nullcasting, I like your entry, but have a bit of doubts with your elongated sun. Perhaps you forgot to limit the width of the picture when putting it on the forum to 800?

    Ed3D, some very nice variants.

Good luck everybod and have a good time in Cancun, NGartplay.

Hi folks, here is my 2nd entry and is titled: Desert Beach Oasis and is more of a fantasy picture of being at a desert beach.. is slightly the same theme of the last render and 3rd entry.. don't know what my fascination with deserts and beaches, but I am originally from Utah, and have visited many water holes there swimming while growing up.  I was imagining visiting an resort in the desert, maybe in the Mediterranean.  The cliffs were made in Zbrush and the bed is a freebie but spent a lot of time making textures for it.  This was challenging making the bark textures for the Bryce trees and the leaves are custom textures.

I was hoping to get a 3rd render here-it is rendering now because Bryce has decided to crash off and on all day when even pulling up the file.  I had to unhitch my backup drive and that helped.. so it is 4pm here central and I am rendering..one I have been working on off and on all month.

Here is my last entry..It is called Beach Dreams. It is 4:45 CST here. (Hope this is not too late). I had a different version .. of this where I had changed some items, but Bryce decided it was the day to crash.. even though I have installed the 32 bt large address aware and have a newer computer.. I had a lot of fun with this, though.  I guess I could post the other version that was taking too long on the main Bryce Render thread..

Ed3d.. Love that last entry! Nullcasting what a lovely scene with the sun and cliffs!

It's too bad my computer decided to give me trouble ugg crying .. I think it was from one of those updates--I am using Windows 11 and don't like it too much.  I had less objects than my first entry lol but at least it is better than my last computer, where I was barely able to render anything.

Challenge is closed.  Cathy will be looking at the images to pick the overall winner and I'll draw the random winners from a hat.  Good Luck everyone!

PS - Sue would have helped to pick too but she's on vacation.

Ok guys, My neighbor picked Rasberri's first image, that I am calling Adventure Island.  She said that she would hang that on her wall and I suspect it's because they take a lot of cruises.  Congratulations Rasberri.  Be sure to give me your email address that you use here at Daz3D in a PM to me so I can buy the GC.

I have not drawn the random names yet.  We got back from our bus trip late and I have a headache.  I will do it tomorrow.

  • NGartplayNGartplay Posts: 3,134

Hello everyone.  I have done a completely random draw of 3 names.  I wrote everyone's name on a piece of paper, crumpled each into a small ball and shook all of them in my hands like dice.  I then threw them into a hat and drew 3 names.

    $10 winner is Rasberri

    Three winners of $5 are:

    mermaid

    Hansmar

    ed3D

Congratulations all and thank you for entering in the challenge.

I need email addresses to buy the gift certificates.  PM me.
