I recently used the energy effects to create lightining in the hands of a character, but after setting up some poses for a gun battle, I realized I didn't know how to produce a muzzle flash, erupting from a pistiol.

 

Actually, for now, something simple would do- a flash of light or flame; something modest enough to look like weapon's fire taking place in a still.

 

Can that be done?

 

What product would I need in order to do it?
