so far I see nothing about her, but what you all think of her, the bundles? Kaede 9 | Daz 3D
I think she looks pretty good, I guess. Nothing too special really, but good to have an Asian woman. Her feet have more character than the rest of her though.

She's okay. These bundles are quite expensive now. I am deciding over getting the pro bundle with an addon for the reduced price.
If someone has her and her HD shape, is there really an almost 20cm difference in height between the two ?
Kaede 9:
Kaede 9 Spinning Bird HD Shape Add-On:
Yeah that's what it looks like. She had a growth spurt!
its from the spinning - your body stretches after awhile
is the spinning shape the one they stated as "Buff Alt Shape:" ?
It looks like it. I actually like there's a theme behind it as opposed to just it being just an alternate shape. There's a good bit of differences as opposed to just muscularity-a good one for sure.
Pricey, though, esp when you have no tokens. What is the lowest price you saw in your cart?
Lowest I have so far with the pro bundle is $62.28. No tokens, no credit and no coupons. The added item for the additional discount is the Urban Kunoichi Outfit Outfit Texture Add-On.
I'm absolutely uninterested in the whole lot.
I have the Pro Bundle in my cart for $19.23 (92% off) using 8 tokens and the Dazplus coupon, but... I don't know if I like the bundle even that much.
Is it this price including the addon ?
With one item to get another discount (either an addon or an item from the featured artists), the Pro Bundle is at $56.34. The item to get the discount will be either a $2.40 very old item or for any Genesis generation, a $3.35 one. Then if you add a Dazzling new release from Daz Day, you get an additional discount on any Daz Original (including the Pro Bundle). Yesterday sales is also supposed to offer a 20 % discount on Daz Original, but it doesn't seem to work on the bundle.
As long as the Dazzling new release is less than $11.27, adding one means a cheapest cart (so either the props or the room are interesting if the goal is to have the cheapest cart).
I don't think I missed something else, so the cheapest cart without coupons and tokens is a $55.81 one (at least in Daz dollars):
You can get a 10 % discount if you buy a gift card with the current offer on them (you can get a gift card with a 20 % discount but it requires buying a Dazzling new release from the Daz Day sales, so only interesting if someone want a costly gift card) and if you do it, the cart will cost you 50.23 real dollars and the Pro Bundle will have cost you 45.56 real dollars.
I was mistaken-the $62.28 was my entire cart. The Pro Bundle was also $56.34. Now I added the Modern Serenity Suite and it lowered to $45.07 too. I have the same outfit in my cart but yeah these applied discounts all still work and by adding the suit it reduce my overall cart to a little lower than it was beforehand.
The listed size for the Spinning Bird Bundle is clearly off. To fix it, I had to set her to 100% in Posing and add 10% to her height in Shaping. She comes with proportional differences, but she is absolutely not at 179.8 cm. I used Measure Metrics for this, too, and as usual it's tricky to get 100% right. The first picture with the hair she comes with come with no alterations on any shapes.
I have it in my cart with two addons, 8 tokens and the Daz Plus coupon, but mine's $26.04. I wonder if you've got a stealth banner or something?
Maybe with a Dazzling new release ?

Yes
got the pro bundle down pretty nicely. Can it get any lower? 1 useless product, but I gues its worth it. Added the Modern Serenity Suite Bundle to grab the 20% off DO ... the end total is the same without the Serenity Suite with the added discount, so its like getting it free. The equus useless thing gives an extra 30% off. Guess I could buy a GC at 10% off as well to drop a couple more bucks.
Not a pro bundle that interests me. Another sexy kimono, another double high-slit halter dress, a character I feel like I've seen dozens of times before and who looks more G8 than G9. More weapons; more face paint. Extra shape could maybe be useful, but it's really only the ChevyBabe hair that piques my interest.
I can't remember the last time I saw something new in a pro bundle. I'm not disparaging those who like the bundle or the artists who contributed to it, but it's not what I expect from a DO pro bundle. The last pro bundle I picked up was only because it was $11 and it had a few items of use in it. It wasn't that long ago, but I can't remember which it was. Before that, it was probably the Walter bundle.
Maybe my library is simply too big. I've started shopping elsewhere for things I'm actively looking for and need for my projects but can't find in the Daz Store. Just normal items, really. Nothing so specific as an Asian-themed ninja goddess. Stuff like a kimono that's more cloth than flesh. I feel like there's a schism between environments in the Daz Store - historical and contemporary - and the wardrobes available to go with them. But maybe that's just me! Interestingly, more of the stuff I've bought recently elsewhere are better discoverable or categorised in Studio.
Added the Simple Loincloths I'd been eyeing yesterday and got it down to $19.83 which I think'll do me. Thanks for the help. :)
She's... not my favourite.
As minimal as the textures are, they don't seem to line up as I would expect. The hands are loading strangely, maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Rendered here from her HD. Eyebows swapped out in the close up. Posed next to Xiu Lin and Hanako.
Genghis is still the only core 9 asian character I love. :(
She's okay and the bundle was less impressive than some others, but I got the Pro-B down to $24 bucks (already spent my PC coupon) and paid for it with a GC igot for 20% off, so that was a reasonable enough price for the pieces I wanted. I really would have preferred an Office Lady outfit or anything besides yet another kimono and kung fu robe, but DAZ doesn't seem to know that there are Japanese women who dress like normal people.....
Not that more than a handful of Japanese women would wear the kinds of "kimonos" that frequently get released in the Daz store. At least there's always Tentman.
The first image looks great, but I dunno if it's the lighting or not but her face looks less real and more cartoonish, maybe it's the textures?
Let's be real - the percentage of women in general who would wear the majority of the female clothing that's sold at DAZ is definitely in the minority, period. Which is frustrating as heck when you have to do a lot of scenes involving people of a wide range of both ages and ethnicities. Of course, the male side of the equation is even worse off with all the clothing that seems to be made of cardboard tubes and playdough...
I asked if I could return her for store credit. There wasn't anything there I could mix to a quality I was happy with. She might suit other's styles more.
Thanks. Off my wishlist.
Got the bundle down to about $26, which I thought was acceptable for the products I found interesting from the bundle. I've seen very few pro-bundles since the G3 era from which I found every single component useful, So, like usual, I went through the contents and made up the balance.
I actually like the Kaede figure, she gives off something of a late G3 or early G8 vibe. Slightly more stylized than other recent figures, but not so much that I would call her cartoonish, so I think she shouldn't contrast so much with some older figures that it would make the scene awkward.
From limited testing, I found she mixed pretty well. I like the Kunoichi hair and outfit pieces, and there are a few other useful pieces in the bundle that made it worth the $20-ish.
These are mixed with June.
I did like the Kunoichi Updo Hair - it seems to be posed very statically in the promos, but it does have some pose dials to move the fringe and side bangs around so you can apply a bit of gravity. I'm not sure if the dforce does much.
I was trying to figure out what was bugging me about Kaede, maybe cartoony wasn't the right word for it but I think it's more of a lack in details in the face. Yeah the skin has detail but there's things like lower eye lids being so flat/smooth feels off to me. Is she supposed to be marketed as a more stylized figure?
