Trying to create a crystalline effect...

Hi folks! Complete newb here, just starting my Daz journey and using it to create images for my self-published sci-fi book covers ;)

I'm wondering how to recreate the translucent, crystalline effect in one of the example photos from this product:
https://www.daz3d.com/iradiance-crystal--sparkle-rich-hdri-for-iray

I'll attach a screenshot. The product is crystal-based HDRIs, but nothing in it seems to help me create this completely translucent, almost glass-like feel to my character. Is it likely to be done through complicated settings that I don't understand yet, like bump maps or texture maps? Or is this done by playing with opacity settings? I'm at a loss, everything I try just takes me further from the effect I'm after!

Any tips would be greatly apprecited ;)

Thank-you!

Tony

I'm reasonably certain this is a glass shader applied to the figure. The glass shader reflecting the HDRI does the rest of the work.

Awesome, thanks for that! I'll hunt down some glass shaders ;)

You probably need to turn on Caustic Sampler as well..
