Didnt see this covered but in DS 4.8 and 4.9 when I put my cursor on a prop or character in the viewport, a yellow area selection highlight tranlucently covers what I'm hightlighting, such as the face or body, or scene prop? Is there any way to change the color, make it more opaque or disable it altogether? Thank you

Windows menu > Panes > Draw Settings > General > Draw Style = bounding box only.
Great question! Didn't occur to me that was an option but I hate that too! I mean, I'm trying to see what I'm doing! lol Good tip!
I actually find it a useful feature on occasion, while it certainly can also be a nuisance. Rather than dissabling it, my workaround is to toggle between the tools for the viewport, switching to the spot render tool when I don't want the highlighting, and back when I do. Its a mouse click either way.
Or click on the Spot Render button on the toolbar - I find that the quickest way, and when you click on another of the tools where you probably want it on, it comes back on.
Got it, thank you everyone!
Hm, accidentally got this yellow outline thing a bit ago, hit a wrong button while trying to use the up/down buttons, can't figure out what I did or how to undo it. I'm trying to follow the directions above but it's not working. ???
Which tool is active (Tools menu)?
Ah ha, it was the Region Navigator. I was trying to navigate through items in the scene pane using the up/down arrows and I thik I hit one of the number keys on the keypad instead. I've been using DAZ for over 20 years (I have a download for version 1.1 somwwhere) and I keep running into thiese things I've neve seen before oddly enough. Thanks for the help.:)
