My Carrara has Iray

Great news, Carrara when un-installed by DIM (although I never wanted too) and re-install using DIM, now has Iray and can access all Daz Studios, Lights, Camera's everything all in one long panel.

No more need for Daz Studio. Hurray.

Yes I'm being facetious. Cheers

    Actually No,. it just looks that way,.

    What you're seeing is the Smart content,. from the Database which Daz Studio uses,. However,. Carrara does not have any ability to render using Iray,.

    It can use the shaders, from Daz Studio, whether they are DUF or IRAY, or Poser format.

    Carrara translates or converts all the shader information into Carrara shaders.

    Daz or Poser Lights are built for those programs, and will also be converted to Carrara's own camera's or lights.

    IMO it's unnecessarily confusing (especially for new users) and we either need some type of filtering system for the Smart content,.

    Or, add Iray support to Carrara,. which is less likely (IMO).

    Smart content in Carrara has been like that since 8.5 included smart content :) and since DS included iray, those icons show up in carrara
