Yeah I have a render I did that came out really well, set on one of those carnival swing rides, except there's not a seatbelt to be seen... just hang on and hope you don't go splat, I guess?

"Um yeah, I'm gonna need that Short-Parted Hair for Genesis 9 to work on Gen 8". Seriously, I would buy this if it did. I might still buy it and just try parenting it.

Do we have confirmation that it doesn't autofit?

It is a dForce hair, an they usually do not autofit well between generations.

Agreed. She's in my cart. Not a style I typically go for, but 3D style released Blanche a few weeks back too, who I bought for some body diversity (and because I thought she had something of Lana Del Rey about her face). Very happy with Blanche - she has some meticulous details in her body sculpt and mixes incredibly well.

Soon after Blanche arrived, V3D released Carmen - maybe even the day after. Blanche + Carmen + a little nose tweak = yes A jazz singer from an alternative timeline.

Wow.  I read Emperor's New Mind and Shadows of the Mind when I was at Uni.  I've always been a fan of Penrose and Hameroff's ideas.  At least it's a scientific way (potential) to probe the origin and nature of consciousness.  I read a book once about philosophy of mind - a collection of papers by philosophers - and so much of it was arguing about the meaning of words.  I read the entire book and when I'd finished it I had no more knowledge about consciousness than I had when I started.   A lot of philosophy is like that.

Anyway, a citation to it on Daz's forums was... unexpected!

Slightly off topic considering that's a six month old post LOL. But yeah, in a nut shell what ORCH OR really means is: if proven true, it will guide the way for the creation of super advanced conscious robots.

Now about todays release Willow Bend House by bituka3d, am I losing my mind or does that 'mottled' wall texture look the same as the wall texture in Tranquil House by Telsa3dCorp.

Not 100% sure... but we know that same vendor use the different names in this store and other stores... and different vendors may use same texture resources... yada yada .

Interesting. Possible pseudonyms. Either way I like the texture and am too lazy/busy to create such in PS, plus I am close to $100.00 for the extra 20% off which would make either free.  I am leaning toward The Tranquil House because of the rustic log beams . . . maybe neither . . . not sure.

  • you can use a sponge and the same paint with a slightly diffrerent tint to recreate it on your own wallsenlightened

I read a post elsewhere where the PA themselves (assuming it was them that posted) stated that bituka3d, Telsa3dCorp, and clacydarch are the same PA. I don't know why they use multiple names, or if the PA is one person or a team.

  • Not totally novel. Christoph3D and Powerage seem to be the same vendor. Slightly frustrating when their products change apparent vendor between shops. Regards, Richard.

I may have missed a previous post, but a winter jacket that has zipped, partial zipped, and open options and a vest too is pretty nice. Thank you @IH Kang.

For us authors, it's common too, as most don't like to cross genres, and those that do use pseudonyms. I'd rather write or create art than manage a 'Sybil' like environment. So I took most of my books down and halted WIPs so I could release them under my name. I am a caregiver who has the most wonderful husband who is now 100% disabled, and I housekeep150 small African and Australian finches, 12 cats and 4 dogs, one animal has a critical eye injury that requires treatments ever 2 hours, so three hours - five hours sleep daily leaves me with no option but to discard pseudonyms. But iof I were a PA I certainly would use a different name too.

Question for https://www.daz3d.com/sylvia-9-dryad-hd - it says the antlers are wearables. Does this mean you can have the rest of the morph loaded but not the antlers? Because she'd be perfect for one of my side characters... except for that part.

TIA and happy holidays to anyone celebrating today.

It has no readme and filelist, but as a wearable you can delete them, if it doesn't have options for loading her without them (you can apply the shape and texture seperatly, but that will probably take longer than loading all and delete).

Thanks for pointing this out, I missed all those options! Am putting it on my WL right away.

Have people already seen the amazing heron by AM that's new today? https://www.daz3d.com/heron-by-am. He's so, so good, I think I'll be getting him right away today, and with the otter from last month or so too. AM really rocks the wild animals.

+1 for the heads up on the jacket, now on my WL as well.

That heron is gorgeous. It'd be right at home on an US2 lake...

Yeah, was wondering if it leaves a weird attachment site, but I suppose I could try creatively covering it with some leaves if so...

I just bought the heron, file size is incredibly small. Something like 50 MB as zip. Otter was even smaller. Has AM found the magic formula the elders have been searching for eons - to deliver amazing detail with almost no polygons? Can't wait to render the beasties!

It is usually texture files that inflate the zip size, rather than the geometry (polygons).

I grabbed the heron also. I would like to compliment the artist who did the promos, they are breathtaking. Of course the subject is excellent. I also picked up https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-autumn-breeze-sweater-dress-genesis-9 by Kayela who is new to me. While the sweater is too short for a dress (I know from experience when I was teen in a hippie tunic, and tried to sit down in front of a room full of G.I.s, that length is not comfortable) but with leggings, jeans, or slacks it would be great. I also liked that the knitting looked like real knitting. And esha's darling snowflake earrings. Sweet. And I was able to pick up her recent Assorted Earrings Vol 1 for G9 which I had on my wishlist. Then the clever Christmas gifts today, this as I would say as a kid, I scored. Thanks to the PAs and DAZ.

I thought the same thing!  Whoever did the render didn't think we'd notice the removal of the bending limits, but we did.  wink
