I'm interested in adquiring this https://www.daz3d.com/medieval-village. The design is great, but being quite old I'm worried about how would the textures look (specially after converting to iray). Can anyone who has this post some screenshots or provide some feedback? Thank you in advance!

Great looking stuff from Faveral always!
If the full price is actually $44.95, it's no wonder I don't have more of his sets. I'll stop there before Blank-Er-Rated! I have in the past simply applied the IRay uber shader to his sets made for Poser and things turned out fine. So, likely select the set, and two mouse clicks later you are all good.
This is the Blacksmith simply loaded and rendered with default settings - it needs tweaking, but I think the bones are there. (Stopped at 70% convergence.)
This may be marginally relevant ... I don't have that product, but I used Faveral's "Le Faubourg" (a European small town scene) in this short animation "Budget Travel", looked good to me:
I bought this new Daz program: http://www.daz3d.com/salem-city , Which works great for me. Has many more builders and jail cell torture center too that Faveral's medieval village doesn't have.
Much more options but then again Ralfer not sure IRAY means or what your looking to poser create with medieval village.
Hopes the helps, Bill K.

Thank you all for your answers. I think I'll give it a try, can't let the opportunity pass. I will post a render later.
This is just a sample with some minor tweaks. There is not much I can do with the straw roof, but overall is quite nice.
Medieval city is also gorgeus; and it only has diffuse maps. I will try to create bump maps myself from the diffuse ones.
most of the time it works if you use the diffuse map also for the bump map, make the bump strength to 100% and the values to -0.1 and 0.1 if useing 3Delight and the standard shader
A lot of poser products I have and use for my renders uses the diffuse map also as bump map.
And that is 100% WRONG for both 3Delight and Iray. Neither can use a color image for bump or displacement. Either they won't do anything at all OR the results will not be predictable.
and using a desaturated diffuse map as a bump map is a very lazy way of doing bump maps. Plus Poser reads bump maps differently, so a poser bump map will not work well in DS
really? Then tell me why it works? Don`t tell that something is wrong when it works.
what you get when you put a diffuse map in the bump channel is a desaturated copy of the diffuse map, ie grey scale. Yes ok you get a bump map of sorts, but it is always considered a very poor bump map, and a very lazy way of doing it.
a rainbow and a simple desat rainbow. to show how inferior a bump map is if you use this method.
Do you know what? It fits my needs so it is okay, if it is poor or not, does not matter to me. Good is what looks good no matter the way.
If you want a grey bump map and you haven`t one create it yourself, If you are satisfided with a diffuse map as bump map (with the appropriate values of course) it is okay, too.
@ chohole and mjc1016 do what you want and let others do what they want if it is okay for them but do not call them idiots.
If it works for you, there is no problem. Just keep in mind that if you offer it up as a solution for others, however, you can expect someone may correct you or disagree.
even First Bastion has used his diffuse map also as bump map on rolling planes for example and I guess you would call First Bastion not a beginner or someone having no clue what to do.
and, it is a differentce if someone disagrees or if someone says what you are doing is to 100% false and does not work.
