I'd pay real money.
Both MS Windows and MacOS are becoming bigger and bigger security and privacy nightmares. In the day of containerized software you don't need to follow a dozen distro requisites anymore and while I'm probably making it too easy I see that with macOS there is a code base for unixoid OSses, so one wouldn't have to start at field 1 porting. I'd even be ok with closed src due to NV IP.
Yes I know some people got it working in Proton or so, but I'd prefer native+supported.
