mermaid, the dramatic red of the image really draws one in.  I like the bird perched on the bow.

mermaid - great, I do not remember having seen this video. I still use a material in Ch-D to create this white coast outline - also an idea by David. Thanks for sharing the video and showing your nice result.

Here's another oldie, inspired by Slepalex's still life. Missing him, and all the other members, too many to mention. Hope everyone's well.

Nice work, Mermaid010. Yes, the disappearance of many good Brycers from this forum is a pity.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,803

mermaid - beautiful still life. I do agree with you and Hansmar. It seems that brycers slowly die out.

Thanks Hansmar and Horo. I often wonder how long we will be around, our numbers are dwindling. We know from some threads there are new Brycers, they just don't participate in the forum.

Very nice still life mermaid.  I especially like the bananas.  They look so real.

mermaid - Fabulous still life ! It's not just Bryce that is losing people, Carrara has lost a lot of old timers as well ....

Thanks Bunyip02. It’s sad but people have to move on especially if they use 3D professionally. I wondered about the Challenges in Carrara too, it’s being a while since we (Brycers) were invited to vote there.

Sharing another Fruit bowl still, once again Sleplex helped me with the lighting and textures for the fruit.

mermaid - beautifully done apples and bananas. Slepalex showed excellent still lifes, I miss him and his renders.

Mermaid - Excellent Still Life ! Am missing the great advice some of the old timer's use to give in Carrara but understand that real life can impact on them contributing to the forums. I moved to Blender for my modelling from Carrara due to all the Bells and Whistles being developed for Blender, shame DAZ3D did not continue support development for both Bryce and Carrara as they are both Gems of programs ! The Carrara Challenges have been on hold for a while now ....

Thanks Bunyip02. Well Bryce and Carrara are in the same boat, but both will survive. I tried Blender but gave up. I only use a bit of Wings 3D, my main software is no doubt Bryce.
