Dforce Problem, Help?

I'm not sure what is going wrong. The hair at the start is not touching the body. I simulate and it goes through the character and just hangs straight down. The vidoes I watch on Dforce don't have this happen, so I don't know how to problem solve this. Any advice?

So is the hair moving but not colliding or what? Are you simulating, or simulating selected - and if the latter, what is selected?
Some hairs have the initial shapes / poses like this one so as to leave more space for the hair to have a better draping. As your figure has a pose, you may need to check "Start Bones From Memorized Pose" in Simulation Settings or use a Timeline to simulate.
@Richard Haseltine @crosswind thank you both. I clicked simulating instead of simulating selected and I turned Start Bones from Memorized Pose, and the hair came out correct. Appreciate both of your help!
With Simulate Selected you need both the dynamic item(s) and the non-ddynamic colliders selected - anything that isn't selected will be completely ignored.
