It has only been developed for 3Delight so far so no need to worry there.
Each building is a separate prop and in fact so is nearly everything else in the scene (chairs, tables, trees, awnings, benches, shrubs, lamps) that can all be placed or moved around individually.
3Delight version is complete now working on Iray version (see below).
Howie,
This is coming along very well, indeed. There's a real sense of texture (in the literal sense of the word) and depth in the plaster on the wall.
I look forward to further developments.
Cheers,
Alex.
I like the leaves in the gutter ... real!
All the best artists are detail hawks - watch any Ridley Scott, James Cameron or Peter Jackson movie.
Incidentally, as a computer professional of over a third of a century's standing, I laughed out loud at the comment in your signature.
Cheers,
Alex.
Most materials converted quite quite well without alteration, just had to work on the roads, roofs and plants. Played around with the Iray environment parameters and think I've found a good setting for this scene.
Already in my cart.
Straight in the in-basket! :)
It is really pretty work reminds me of Bavaria .. is it already released ? I want it !!!
It had better be released, I just (some hours ago!) bought it!!! ;)
Actualy it is in Baden-Württemberg but very close to Franken (part of Bavaria)
Hmmm looks like those towns along the Rhine when you take a train. I think it means the red roofed fortress on the river of vinyards. And I will need to by buying the author's bundles to save money. LOL
Bought and downloaded. I can't wait for next weekend so I can go exploring.
Cheers,
Alex.
This is great. I'd also (really) love an iRay version of the previous products (like Japanese Gardens, etc), with a (and this is important) substantial DISCOUNT for those who have purchased the Carrera versions. Without the discount, many probably woudn't buy the product a second time for full price.
Absolutely stunning! Ultra well done!
Is there a discount for those of us who own the Carrara version? I'm just getting the March madness discount atm.
Do you have a recommendation for GPU and CPU RAM if loading the whole scene?
You can pretty much export the Carrara one as obj making sure any replicated things are real instances (think just some leaves) and plants full detail mesh, you may want to do it in sections, it fit on my old 760 and certainly on my 980Ti for iray.
It is actually in South Germany , I was there in 1987 when I was living in Karlsruhe... well some parts of it are very closer in the model .. nice job
Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a German town in northern Bavaria known for its medieval architecture
Here my quick Iray test renders with my own HDR lighting .. beautiful work @HowieFarkes next time make sure the white walls or materials don't have full white color 255 and not extend 187 out of 255 for Iray had to adjust just that . the rest was just fine .. and really enjoying this set and modeling one of my favorite
This looks really wonderful. I have it on my wishlist for future purchases, because I need some other stuff first. :)
Purchased, very happy. Easy for us rookies, load scene and use preset render settings for sunlight and render. Thanks !
I was here when I was 17. (Many long years ago lol) didn'trealize that this is where it was. Its now moved to the top of my wishlist. Waiting on tax returns suck lol.
I was 17 too when I was there .. lol
Haha depending on how old you are we could have been there at the same time lol.
possible ... for me it was in 1987
I had been 17 in 1987 ...
I was there in 1983... So clost but not quite
Nice work on this. Just test rendering some of the stuff I picked up this month.
I just did a couple tonight too. One below and two others on this thread.
