polished aluminum aircraft skin, with rivets and stress deformations

How about a nice polished aircraft skin including rivets and the subtle deformations one would find that make the reflections a little wavy from one panel to the next and around the rivets, rather than being perfectly smooth?  For either "Sky Lords: Axis" ( http://www.daz3d.com/sky-lords-axis ) or "Sky Lords: Allies" ( http://www.daz3d.com/sky-lords-allies ).  Personally I'm interested in using it with the 3DL render engine, but presumably the key here is actually just the bump/displacement map regardless of render engine, since it would need to be more than just seam lines and a rivet pasted 10,000 times, and one can use the bump/displacement with an existing chrome shader.

Offhand I can't find a really good reference, if any of you are aircraft nuts or have been to EAA and have seen the various art exhibits or photography (or the real thing of course) you know what I'm referring to and maybe you can point out a better reference than my randomly googled ones below:

It's years ago, but someone had done something in Blender that was amazing; other than that, I can't remember details.
