What is C4D's equivalent of a rigid follow node?

I've got a character wearing a suit bridged over to C4D, and I'm having trouble figuring out how to get all the buttons to stay where they're supposed to be. I've tried constraint tags, both parent and transform, I've tried connector objects and connector tags, and so far nothing has worked quite like I wanted it to. How do I attach a button to an article of clothing, have it follow along when the clothing is posed, and also stay in place when simulated?
