6.1 to 7.1

Is it possible to open 6.1 files in 7,1? Rather, is there Any way to get what was made in 6 into 7?

Should work.   To open 6.1 scene files use the option at the bottom of the open box, where it says files of type.

Most models etc from previous versions seem to import quite happily into 7

Yes, it does work. I've opened files from Bryce 4 up all versions in 7.1.

Oops. Bryce page says, "DAZ Studio Bridge Particle Animation." So this means you need Studio to use (import) particles into Bryce? According to this it appear you can do it without Studio.  Can't change the size!

The Particle Generator is a bit of an after thought (or more accurately an unfinished bit of coding).

It is very limited in as much as you are restricted to the spheres it generates. You can't, make instances of objects as particles like in more adnaced programmes.

It is how ever still useful and fun and totally Bryce (no need for Daz Studio)... Bear in mind also that once you have set your particle parameters and saved the document, it will not save your partocle parameters so if they are precise and important, write them down for future reference when working on that document.

    Hope this helps.

mpam76895_15961369c9 - everything Dave Savage said is correct. The inactive code was discovered during the Bryce 6.3 to 7.1 upgrade and we decided to activate it as Easter Egg. It is limited but can be fun. The video I had made at the time you've found already.
