    i have yet to do a good dimpled orange or a cucumber.  
    there a special word for the dimples on a golfball?
    pineapple bumpmap.

    thinkin, using the displacement magic to use a cobblestone bumpmap on a plane to create a cobblestone geometry.  then use physics to run water rivulets down the cobblestone groovlets.
    how tiny would those particles have to be to look like water molecules those h2os smiley

    Depending on how close the camera needs to be, just scale the cobblestone to work with the metaballs water sim... sure it would look really cool.

    Another fun displacement from a map method is to bring the map into the terrain editor. I did that with cobblestone and it turned out realy nice. For particles, I think you might need the geometry or calculations, if it did work, might take forever. Still fun to check out though and see for sure.

    to make g3m/f blink, rotate 3 bones.  on the bright side, givres exacting control

    cant figure out how to save as pose, got as far making editable thingee but cant save it to clips

    none of the pose controls, like arm up/down work, havent messed with the whynots yet.

    did a few renders of g3m with his geograft.  did the trick, deleting graft section from the gens .dsf file.  fixed the uvs woes. smiley  the renders are on my da.

    did one with the boxer shorts from m7 intimates.  did a lot of converting on his hair and clothes today.  i dont really have all that much of g3 clothes.

    this render with leandro hair and beard. Merrick skin.  not my dream geralt yet.  geralt in hot tub like in beginning of witcher3

     

    really should setup a sss skin shader >.<

    to load a lightweight genesis figure into carrara, i haz ta manually dele all the morphs i not using? ? ?

    need to figure out the necesary ones for mimic, and breathing

    Funny. I was just pondering this very thought, and I think I may have come up with a solution

    • Create a new library for Daz Studio (even though we'll be using Carrara)
    • Download (manually) and install only the Genesis Essentials
    • Repeat this in the same library for the other Genesis family members so we have a basic setup for Genesis 1, G2M, G2F, G3 if wanted

    Now that we have a separate library with only the basics of each Genesis figure, we can make copies of this library

    For each copy:

    • Give the library a good, recognizable name
    • Download (manually) and install only the morphs wanted for this particular library
    • Do this for each Genesis version appropriate for the library name

    I'm fairly certain that this will reduce the available morphs on the Genesis loaded from such a library to only what we have installed in that particular library

    Savvy? ;)

    Try this (see attached zip)

    This is a basic SSS procedural skin shader, which can work on any skin part of a model - because it's procedural

    If you only want the SSS, simple open this shader and open the SSS channel and copy it, then paste it into the SSS of all skin shaders

    Another method is to use this shader and replace the Color (tx), Highlight (Spec), and/or Bump with the texture map of your choice

    and g3f pose controls workin for most part, and expressions based on pose controls.
    was a folder nder morphs for the pose controls, there all kinds of alias in the nodes, tested a few, alias not making her crashy. yayy.
    prolly better to keyframe rotations directly, though

    When I deleted all the suggested text I couldn't open the figure at all.
