Do I need to keep the .tip.png files? *Solved*

I recently updated Daz Studio (I waited a while first to see if it caused any major issues), and I've noticed a change.  When I save a file now, instead of creating 2 files, the .duf and the .duf.png, it now also adds a 3rd one, a .tip.png, that I haven't seen used before.  I have no idea what that .tip.png file does.  Do I need that file for something?  Or can I just delete it?

Those .tip files are the larger thumbnail files you get when hovering your pointer over an asset. Many products have them by default now. You do not need to keep them, if you are happy to have the postage stamp-sized thumbnails.

Oh perfect, I can turn them off entirely!  Thank you, Richard, that helps a lot!!!

I created an application to get rid of .tip.png files. The app searches for pairs of .tip.png and .png files, deletes the lower-resolution .png file, and then renames the .tip.png file to .png. This allows me to keep the thumbnails in higher resolution. Additionally, I added a feature to change the resolution of the images in case there are no higher-resolution thumbnails. This way, I can resize the default 91x91 resolution to something larger, usually 200x200. If someone will be interested I might share it

I do the same except I use 250X 250 because that is the "Extra Large Icons" display size in Windows 10+
