 when i last was on here i was using  graphics card that was 7 or 8 gens back and  gen 8 was just coming out, so my question is with the new gen 9 stuff and later g8 stuff with the new graphics cards does it make the models look alot better now  or does it soley  just make the  rendering faster? also a techncal question i now have 2  1 tb hard drives and every time i ever installed daz  it would always install to c how do i get the softwere and  people to install to the second hard drive?

    Check out this thread - covers configuring Install Manager and Studio.I have replaced the laptop mentioned in the comment and now have my Studio install on my E drive along with the content. Also - if you use Install Manager (highly recommended!) do not log in with Studio - this just causes problems.

    A render, to a given number of iterations, is a render - the only benefit, aside from speed, that a GPU brings is the ability to have it denoised (and there are other ways of doing that, which may not have the scene-sensitive features of the Iray featuer but which some people seem happier with).
