Annoying headlamp and light

I've turned off the headlamp of persective view and press CTRL+L to make texture shaded view not pitch black.

But everytime I open a file, headlamp always back to auto and texture shaded view alway pitch back.

How to fix this?

If the headlamp was on Texture Shaded wouldn't be black - turning off preview Lights (it is on by default, and toggled with ctrl L) gives a pseudo Headlamp that doesn't render. Your scenes will save the headlamp state by default, but not the Preview Lights setting.

my scene isn't saving the headlamp state of the perspective view.

Which settings? The option in Render Settings will be saved, unless you have overridden the saving of Render Settings with the scene or their reading when the scene is loaded.

  • Richard is right, and it's exactly how I work as well: save an otherwise empty scene with the headlamp disabled to a safe location, then make it the default scene when Daz Studio opens. That way you'll never have the head lamp on by default (under Preferences - Startup and Scene respectively).
