Saving Genesis or M4 clothes for G2M and then for G3M

I clothed Genesis 2 male in a pair of genesis jeans through auto-fit. Now I want those jeans to work on a Genesis 3 male. What do I do? Do I first save them in some form? Please tell me the next step in the process. Thank you.

Save the converted pants as a "prop/figure asset", then autofit that new figure to G3M.
