A new kind of 3D design
I am not an artist, i cant even draw a stick man. but program like daz studio allow me to create images that would otherwise remain locked in my imagination.
There are man 3D desgn apps to make items clothes and other things but many seem to be designed around a basic concept of being able to draw in some fasion. even if with the mouse.
What i would like to sugest and i believe the fine people at Daz 3D are the best to realise it. is a method much more like a game.
The game i have in mind is space engineers. recently i discovered you could 3D print your ships by exporting them. so i thought what if i could build ANY model using square and angled blocks.
Each of these blocks would add to the shape and when complete a final pass is made over the creation converting it into a high res model in a .obj format. this could then be used in conjunction with programs like bryce or carrara to create clothing, props and scenery.
By using this method people could create items using the same skills they pick up by playing games like minecraft.
Important aspects would be optional genesis/2/3 figure to build around and "mirror mode" allowing for an object to be mirrored as it is built

Booleans, it is how Bryce does modelling and it creates terrible topology that would be no good for clothing.
but if you had the resolution extremely high and had a smoothing tool or or as part of finalization so 1 shoe would be made over 10,000 blocks wide (obviously a method of blacing many blocks at once would be needed.
That method of construction isn't good for clothes. Fine for space engineers though.
