IrayUber and other shader nodes

Is it possible to utilize the IrayUber and other DAZ-specific shader nodes that get created when exporting from Studio to Blender through the Bridge *without* exporting anything from Studio first? I would just like to be able to use the shader node setup with whatever items I bring into Blender. Does it need to be saved within a separate scene and referenced, or can the nodes be added to the common list of available shader types? Thanks for any information.
