Minion Pants
Having grabbed the necessary bits and pieces of attention with the title, let's move straight at'em:
This may not be possible technically, but looking at compatibility products for clothing and poses, as well as a few "limb management" products, introduced fairly recently, i was wondering, if it was doable to fake some of (un-) dressing, also for some fx-purposes, for clothing, by introducing minion-like body areas, that clothing can be put on, and which simulate distance, wrinkles and moving the gamrent into a direction, by applications of morphs, and maybe by use of some repair scripts. Even dforce could be used, in theory. There could be some helper modifications, like compressing body areas, in terms of coverage, without changing the overall outside shape. Technically i am not sure if you would have to make it a full shell, an extra invisible figure, or even have it artificially follow the figure by means of scripting. It could end up to be quite challenging computationally, though, even if it was technically feasible otherwise.
This may get whacky for many items, but might actually work for some cases, like pants slipping down by accident, facing the dragon and so on.
