Questions about the SDK and rendering

Hello, I have a couple of questions concerning the SDK before I download it, namely:

1. Is the current 4.5+ SDK up to date for 4.8 and iray? I'm looking to develop a plugin so I want to be sure I download the right product.

2. Does the current SDK allow for modifications to be made to iray renders? As in, not a post-render script but the actual render in progress?
