How to Disable the IRRITATING Gold/Orange glow content selector!

angry I have sooo hated this since it was implimented. That most irritating gold/orange glow when your mouse moves over content, body parts... whatever, so you know what's selected. WHAT was wrong with the other way. Where it was just boxed lines around it to show you - what you had selected?

Is there some where to disable that? It drives me insane.

When that happens, Click the item to select it, then on the Scene tab look closely in front of the item, there will be a small check mark.Click it to turn it into an X mark. Now it shouldn't light up as you mouse over your scene :)

  • Go to Window>Panes (Tabs)>Draw Settings.  in the tab that opens there will be a setting for Draw Style set to Bounding Box Surface.  Change this to Bounding Box Only.

Or you could click the pointer in the scene tab so you cant select that item in the viewport; I do that a lot, as it also makes it easier to select specific objects and children of those objects.

Go to Window>Panes (Tabs)>Draw Settings.  in the tab that opens there will be a setting for Draw Style set to Bounding Box Surface.  Change this to Bounding Box Only.

I love learning new tips, ty for this.

Okay, I am in here now... where it might have had that selection before... it doesn't now. There is no choice for Bounding Box Surface showing, it is set to, Texture Shaded. When I open the drop down menu - there is no selection for Bounding Box Only.

    sad

Nope nope, that's not what I needed. I think you misunderstand. I want my images to come in textured where I can see them. What I don't like is the YELLOW/GOLD glow when the mouse moves over them.

Still does... hmmm - any other ideas? - RECANT... that did it! Thank you so much - I clicked it on, and then off to see what happened and it is MUCH better with the arrow x'd out. CHEERS - that worked!

Sorry, I was a little unclear.  Here's an image to explain things better:

Thanks for this.  I just did a complete reinstall of Daz and couldn't remember where that setting was.
