I think I would have had a heart attack and died right there. Naked Man coming through my wall, it would have been over, laying next to my wife who also died.

Yeah, to Omens. LOL, we are all going to die. LOL

Comets, eclipses, and earthquakes have been interpreted as omens, often portending significant events such as wars, natural disasters, and other essential changes.

Comets, with their glowing tails and unpredictable appearances, were often seen as harbingers of doom and destruction. In ancient times, they were believed to embody a god or goddess, and their appearance was seen as a sign of impending disaster. In more recent times, astronomers have studied comets to learn more about the solar system's formation.

Eclipses, both solar and lunar, were also seen as significant events by many cultures. Solar eclipses were often interpreted as a sign of impending war or disaster, while lunar eclipses were associated with changes in the weather and other natural phenomena. Today, scientists carefully observe and study eclipses to learn more about the workings of the solar system.

Earthquakes, with their destructive power and unpredictable nature, have also been seen as omens throughout history. In many cultures, earthquakes were believed to be caused by angry gods or spirits, and their occurrence was seen as a sign of impending disaster or upheaval. Today, scientists study earthquakes to learn more about the earth's structure and develop better ways of predicting and preparing for these events.

Overall, while these natural phenomena were once interpreted as omens, today, we have a greater understanding of their causes and effects. While they may still be awe-inspiring and even a little frightening, we can appreciate these events for what they are: natural occurrences that we can learn from and use to improve our understanding of the world around us.

    I concur.

I thought it was funny when my friend started discussing the end times—the Trifecta of Omens.

I conveyed my indifference to him. As one ages, concerns diminish; the significance of the end, or the prospect of life imprisonment, lessens.

    South Carolina won over Iowa.

    Is that an Omen?

I am in my new place.  I can't find my plate so I am eating a hot pocket on a piece of paper towel.

I am so tired and my legs are so sore.  Not trying to let that sour my night.

I like when I've done so much manual labor that my whole body feels sore. It makes me feel like I must be in better shape than I was before i did it.

Just started watching the show Undone on Amazon Prime. By all indications, they filmed actors and then ran the footage through AI to effectively rotoscope it, which really smacks of low effort. It's a good show, but I wish they'd just conventionally animated it. In some shots, characters look like they weren't even touched by the roto process (especially the dark-skinned ones). Hair is constantly changing shape, there's a really odd mixture of line quality and weight.

I had stopped posting in this thread but I felt compelled to set you straight on this one as too many people are mistaking digital art for AI

This isn't an issue with assuming that all digital art these days is AI; this is an issue with the art in this show BEHAVING like AI. The art style isn't consistent from scene to scene, stationary objects morph for no apparent reason, objects that should have similar focus in a given scene have different levels of detail, and so on. Things are wrong in ways that would probably be difficult for humans to do intentionally. It looks more like Corridor's AI-driven anime videos than any hand-drawn art I've seen.

edit: I guess what I'm saying is, if this show was all rotoscoped by hand, then why doesn't it look THAT much better than what Ralph Bakshi was doing in the 70s?

I slept on my bed in my new room last night.  I haven't fully unpacked.  I know one of my boxes has my plates.  Since I couldn't find any plates, I didn't make any bacon.

    i did eat cereal though.

I enjoy DC heroes; they are incredible, except for Green Arrow. Guns would never have been invented if a bow and arrow were that effective.

it was almost fully covered here at the house but not quite. He was doing a photo shoot of some cars close to the area you can see it in full totality, so he went over after and set up and did it. He's going to attempt to get the astroid at the end of the month
