Hi everyone; I've made a model in Blender and appied wood and metal texture images to it. I want to export it from Blender and import it into Daz with the textures applied. I'm not a professioal artist and I'm definitelty a novice at 3D stuff. I exported my file as a .obj and another one as .fbx The .obj will import, but model only no textures or materials, not sure which is the proper term; when I render it, it's just white. The .fbx doesn't import anything at all. What am I doing wrong?

Can you add the maps to the imported OBJ through the Surfaces pane (if you go to the editor tab and select the model then you should be able to drag an image file from a file browser onto the Base Color property).
Hi Richard, thanks so much. It looked like it didn't work at first, but I was able to go in to each of the individual pieces and apply my texture images to them. It looke pretty good except there are a couple of small white spots that appar to not have gotten rendered, any suggestions?
Ok, if you click the triangle next to the model name in the Surfaces pane's Editor tab you should see the surface/material groups you assigned in Blender and be able to apply maps individually.
Yes, I saw that and gor everthing to work; thanks again.
In general for blender to export textures to other formats you have to use the principled shader. Otherwise for complex shaders the exporter is not able to understand what the texture is. Even so only basic textures as diffuse and specularity are exported, so you may need to edit the materials in daz studio as Richard explained.
