G9 Diffeomorphic General Help
As I've been writing and rewriting this thread, I've been trying my best to fully wrap my head around making Genesis 9 work in Blender. From what I've read, it seems that 9 is really bad for this and most prefer 8 for this. Maybe this is a mistake on my part. However I have a very specific idea and workflow I've been developing for myself and I think 9 is still the way to go, at least unless I am fully convinced otherwise. So instead of asking a bunch of round-about questions in random order, I'll just explain my intended work flow and then ask about the gaps in knowledge. This way if other people have similar issues, they can find their way to it from google.
My intended workflow, long story short is to use Daz to create the shape of the character I want, and then take advantage of the built in UVs, UDIMs, and rigging to do all the rest in Blender.
> In Daz, load G9 and morph it up until it looks right. HD morphs are irrelevant for now since I can't make them myself.
>Export to Blender with Diffeomorphic.
>In Blender, build hair, eyelash, brow, and facial hair caps (then asset library them to be used on future imports) and sequentially do the hair. 3.5 hair tools are insane.
>Delete all of the included materials and textures because I am building my own stylized versions via procedural nodes and the already perfect(?) UVs.
>Clothing also made in Blender from scratch for the most part.
> Pose, animate, and render just like anything else because hopefully everything works now.
So now that my intentions are laid out, hopefully that makes it easier to figure out the parts I'm struggling with. There's still the chance everything will look/act like garbage when I'm done, but progress is progress.
1: I still have no idea how "Favorite Morphs" works or what it is despite reading up on it. I assume this relates to the little heart icon in Daz that you can use to favorite individual poses/morphs so they're easier to find. But how do I turn that into a file to use?
2: While using morphs seems pretty straightforward in G9, apparently poses are completely different. Is there an easy way to use Daz poses (namely Visemes) on a slider like you would the morphs? Or do I have to learn a completely different way?
3: Is there an alternate way to view the list of imported morphs? Doing everything from the viewport context menu is really clunky. I would like to be able to see them in a place where they can be searched within Blender.
4: Is there a way to make Diffeomorphic automatically load my created settings file? Or do I have to manually load it every time?
5: I can't think of anything else right now but I can promise there will be more.
Comments
It's not that G9 is "bad", it can be perfectly used in blender with diffeomorphic. The point with G9 is it is HD based, so you may avoid it the same way as you may avoid HD figures, because HD takes much more resources so it's not good for animation, but it's good for single shots. You can of course also use G9 with its base mesh without the HD shape, if it fits your needs.
Personally I avoid both G9 and HD.
As for your questions you may want to read easy import.

3. No, because daz morphs are a mix of bone poses and shapekeys, so drivers are needed that's why you access them via the addon morphs panel. But you can bake to shapekeys if you need to, this way they will not work the same though because interpolation will be different.

4. With easy import you can save and load presets.
