Hmmm..., OK.  But a Dali' monitor might be more interesting.  He did design a telephone, y'know.surprise

Query:  Speaking of Dali', anybody here ever been to the Dali' Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida?  Interesting place.yes  Max and I were there, in the old building, a couple of times in the late '80s and early '90s.  But it's probably even more interesting now, in the new building.smiley

...Hmm, something worth going to Florida for.  On the bucket list.

Dali is one of my top favourite artists,  He had something of an influence on my own work during my later high school years and when I was an art major in college .

Non-complaint:  Florida tourism for ancient people:

Things worth going to go to Florida to see.  Slow wandering, plenty of places to sit, no hustle and bustle, no rides or annoying music, quality & culture oozing from the walls.

    1)  The Dali' Museum in St. Petersburg

    2) The Ringling Estate & Museum in Sarasota

    3) Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in Miami

    4) Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales

...ah forgot one, the Kennedy Space Centre.

Would love to time it to see a Falcon Heavy launch and see those boosters come back for a landing.

Saw the Kennedy Space Center when we were still doing moonshots.

Saw the Ripley (believe it or not!) Museum then.

    Saw Sea World too.

DizWorld wasn't there yet. But I saw it once.

I want to go to DazWorld.  Oh wait?  Isn't that basically DS?

The DAZ3D store is DazWorld. Daz Studio is where we take snapshots of DazWorld. smiley

Here's a few really old ones:

MarineLand in St. Augustine:  I was there as a young child in the early or mid '50s.  I remember the dolphins.  Not even sure it still exists.

Parrot Jungle in Miami:  I barely remember it.  I was there with my parents in the early '50s.  They tried to put one on my shoulder.  I think that experience is what gave me my hatred of parrots.indecision

Cypress Gardens in WinterHaven:  I was there once with my parents.  Part of it is still there but it's been taken over by Legoland.surprise

The Citrus Tower, in Clermont, north of Orlando:  Tall observation tower.  Used to be in the middle of a bazillion orange trees, but most of that was destroyed by killer frosts in the '80s.  The groves once went from horizon to horizon, but housing developments moved in after the trees blackened & died en-masse.

And during the early DisneyWorld time, there was also CircusWorld (a permanent Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey circus venue), at the junction of I-4 and US-27 southwest of DisneyWorld.   Max and I went once.  Great circus, but circuses were becoming passe' by the '80s.  Didn't last long.

And there was even a "HubcapWorld. (junk auto parts store in Orlando)laugh

...used to do "moonshots" at Jocko's Rocket Ship tavern in Madison WI when I lived for a year in the mid  '70s. It  consisted of a pint glass that was about 2/3 full with beer and a shot glass of whiskey (or brandy....this was Wisconsin after all).  To drink it you held the shot glass above  the pint and did a 10 second countdown then said "ignition" dropping the shot glass into the one with beer and "blastoff, before chugging it,.

Essentially a boilermaker with a "twist".

    Yeah, silly college days.

I finally submitted the baked goods for the bake off at church.  Now to wait for the party to start.  Hopefully the hard work will pay off.

I think I need to get off the bed and go to the kitchen to eat breakfast.  Wait?  I need to make it before I eat it.

I thought of hiring a black molly to help, but she would be a little fishie.  But she can make fry.  Oh wait!  Fish fry!

oops I think I saved a picture of a make black molly.  If I have him with some female black mollies, I should expect fish fry.  A lot of them!

edited to add a female black molly.
