[SOLVED] Texturing for DAZ (be it Substance or Blender), importing map.
Hello,
After several attempts, to set up textures for my custom character, the problem I'm facing is kinda disturbing :
At first, after texturing, exported from Blender (Blender used to connect Substance maps) my character was half transparent. From what I see, the cause is my nodes, the .obj doesn't handle some parameters, then Blender change them during the export. That's ok, I can understand. After all, DAZ models, at export (.obj), only have the base map.
BUT... whatever the .obj I'm importing (with or without colors, with or without maps), in DAZ, the only paramater that allows to download a map is for normal map. There's no parameter that allows me to download a base map.
I'm at lost how to fix this. Are there other parameters outside of the surface manager (in DAZ)? Is there something specifc I need to know about mapping a character (in Blender)?

Download is the wrong word - I guess you mean import or apply.
Which shader is being used on the model - top-left of the Editor tab of the Surfaces pane, with the surfaces of interest selected..
That's where I have a problem, among the options the only things I can import are normal maps, bump maps and displacement masp, everythings else are only sliders.
UPDATE :
Found it. I was expecting a section similar to the import map option available for normals or displacement. But in fact there are also options available in the little preview square icon. My mistake.
Assuming you want to use Iray, then first apply Iray Uber Base to the surfaces.
