KIDS 4 - what's happening?

From my own point of view, there hasn't been a single version of Genesis that has been able to create a kid as convincingly as The Kids 4. And with the Genesis versions, the range of kids' clothes, kids' accessories and the like is pretty lamentable.
In fact, if I need a kid for anything that I am creating, I'm still using Kids 4.
If DAZ has no plans to create a realistic kid in any of the Genesis versions, then maybe if it were to make a statement to that effect then people will go on making things for the Kids 4 and developig the character. Right at the moment everyone is in limbo waiting to see what is happening. At least I am.
However, it may be that I've missed something and there's a whole pile of Genesis tips and tricks that I ought to be using to create kids even better than Kids 4, and that there's a whole wardrobe full of kids' clothing somewhere that I have missed.

Basically a copy of a message that I have sent elsewhere -
I've yet to see any convincing kid characters made from any Genesis version. And when you do see a half-convincing Genesis kid, the amount of clothes and accseeories available is lamentable. If I need a kid, I'm using a Kid 4 and I'm sure that many others are too.
However, third-party development of Kids 4 clothing and accessories is dying right down as people aren't quite sure what is supposed to be happening. No-one is going to put a great deal of effort into designing something stunning if DAZ is going to whip the rug out from under their feet
I would like to see DAZ either put a convincing kid onto the market, backed up by a huge raft of clothes and accessories, or else make a statement that this is the best that they can do and that development of Kids 4 product will continue for the foreseeable future.
What doesn't help is that back in the old days at the launch of 4th generation models, there was an enormous quantity of stuff available for Kids 4 but little by little, mostof it has been withdrawn and is no longer to be found. A huge clearout of old discontinued Kids4 stuff at $1:99 a go would bring in an enormous quantity of cash for DAZ from members who have joined up since 2011
On the other hand, of course, I'd be very happy to be pointed into the right direction

For G2 you can use the Genesis fits you do from the K4 stuff in autofit. Not sure about G3, though.
The G2 to G3 autofit works pretty well, with the usual caveats.
Skyler is a good base-model for Gen3... All the Gen3 clothes fit. Though, not much for kids in Gen3 yet. There is also a Gen2 version. Not sure if they come in one package or if it is two things.
