Flat-soled alternatives to high heels.
I know that heels are all kinds of awesome and sexy and blah blah blah, but they are a serious pain in posing and animation sometimes. Would it be possible to add flat versions of heeled sandals or boots to outfits, too? Flat sandals for priestesses would be not only easier to work with but would look more accurate (yes, some of us weirdos like to shoot for a little reality in our fantasy...shoot me!) and for superhero or stormtrooper or whatever else, they'd greatly ease the hassles of posing and animating. A lot of animation scripts have been geared to people walking flat-footed and that doesn't quite work for heels. Add to that the fact I kinda sorta suck at scripting and have to use existing scripts and you see my dilemma.
If such options are out there, point me at 'em, and if they're not, here's an excellent opportunity for artists to fill a niche.

Wilmap has a bunch of cool classical sandal options, and it's free.
(Also a great resource of free clothing in general)
Wilmap, he says.
"Hmmmm," I says.
I'd never heard of Wilmap before now. Thanks for the heads-up!
I reckon some enterprising PA should create a shoe/boot modifier that flattens shoes and hides heels
like hat head or cleavage modifier but for shoes
I reckon from the threads on this they'd make a killing
Esha in the Daz store has one solution to this - and I have bought every single one of the series, as well. What it is, is a set where the shoe soles and shoe uppers are modular. Meaning you can combine whichever upper with whichever sole you wish. There's some expansion textures in the vendor's store for the sets also. They are made for G2F, but I have gotten them to work very nicely on Genesis 1 also. Each pack has one upper and one sole in the set. There's a total of six packs. It's the Patchwork Shoes items. Here's the links to the base sets (one sole, and one upper in each) - the expansion textures can be found right in the vendor's store also.

I use these a lot. They convert well, they bend well. I don't know how well they would work for animations - but maybe this will help. Though I do agree with Wendy, also - a utility for flattening shoe heels would definitely be a GREAT thing to have! LOL
Wilmap is indeed another good one as well - and everything she puts on her site is free, yes. Won't cost you a thing. (Except maybe a few moments to say "Thank you", I suppose.) But seriously - she does some good work. I have almost everything she's made also! :)

Seriously, someone suggested it, I looked and was like 'HOLY POOT! WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS EARLIER?!?'
Mind you, a lot of the stuff ends up autofitted with the usual problems (shrinkwrap boobs), and the morphs are usually limited. But, dude, free.
Seconded! Would like to see more female shoes come out which have an option for removing the heel and creating a flattened sole (even if it's just through giving it an opacity dial). Especially science-fiction and military-themed costumes, where high heels are clearly there for sex appeal and make them impractical for any other use.
