Suggestion for Female Fantasy Clothing Developers

Hi there,

Although this might sound like a whine, though a humorous, tongue-in-cheek one, I want this to be taken as a quite serious request for fantasy genre clothing developers.

Please, for the love of Cheeses, make sensible shoes!  Do you know how impractical it would be for a warrior princess to run around in high heel thigh high boots?  She'd fall over and land on some random fella's sword, piercing her Adam's apple within four seconds of a fight starting!

I understand the need to make the leading ladies look sexy and attractive in their fantasy attire, but seriously, some of us worry about our ladies' safety, you know?

Current trends in clothing design are a health and safety minefield, I'm surprised Injury Lawyers 4U aren't already involved.

Much respect,

Barry

I couldn't agree more Mr BlumBlumShrub. I try to render plasuible fantasy or medieval renders, and all I see is the poor Heroine getting stuck with her stiletto heel between two floor slabs, preventing her from dodging that incoming thrown axe... poor female heroine, there goes anotherone, slain by her vanity....

I have seen your renders, they are mighty!  It is truly good to see someone taking care of their warriorettes!

Yes, I'm new to this, I don't normally do the forum thing.  I'll try that again!

    Ok, how's that?  Working now?

I agree with the flats. I find myself using just a few pair of shoes/boots because of this. Even though I do fantasy cheesecake, I don't like the heels too much most of the time. Just seems off.

Agree, I love some of the fantasy thigh highs til I see the stilleto heel. I would love to see more low heels or wedge style heels. I haven't bought a single fantasy adventure outfit outside of a bundle for almost a year now because the I didn't want the stiletto heel and I didn't see an alternative foot wear that would compliment the style of the outfit. How am I suppose to imagine AD&D with stilleto heels? Flats are alright, but the problem is that they don't make a woman's leg and calf look good and sexy, Best compomise is a thick or tapered mid to low heel. I'd buy that. That's Fantasy not Crazy.

Yep, that worked and yeah, I've alway found the Xena outfit sexy as hell.  :)

If you need sexy calves, then they need to be posed properly, that's all heels do anyway :) But I am not against low heels. Those can work.

Xena's outfit is not sexy at all. You guys were looking at Lucy the whole time.

Right! Men get funtional armor, women get showcases, sexy, but not working at all.

A woman in functional attire could save herself. Heavens beware! There would be no need anymore for a heroe rescuing the damsel in distress!

I Think armor can cetainly look sexy. But it should also be functional or it doesn't serve it's main purpose. And yes, I have heard the skimpy armor is intended to distract the viewer... But that assumes the wearer is the viewer's type. =-)
