Animation Filters Not working

In Carrara 8 there are three filters to help refine your animations. One in particular ,the "reduce" keyframes, appears not to function properly. There is a discussion about this over on CarraraTors forum here  :  http://www.bond3d.byethost18.com/index.php?topic=250.0  

This has been reported as a bug but if you have any experience of this problem your input would be helpful.

Also if you could post on the CarrarTor's forum it would be appreciated.
