I know people use it to make sure that a figure has a realistic or ideal shape/measurements. I've also heard of people using it to size things like furniture correctly after they model them.

Did you enter the serial number in Help>About Isntalled Plug-ins, then restart DAZ Studio? Serial number is here

  • that did it!! thank you very much.

I am not able to register my purchase or measure metrics?  I go to help, about installed plugins and it is not listed so I can not enter my serial number?  I installed it using the install manager, I can find applications for in in content manager but not under help/install plugins?  Any suggestions or ideas?

Not listed at all or not listed as needing a serial number? Are you sure you installed the right version - 64 bit or 32 bit?

I installed it using DIM and there were only the two things to install the content and the pluging/program it didn't indicate whether it was 32 or 64.  When I look in DIM under installed it say it installed Figure Metrics for DAZ Studio 4.5+.  If I mouse over I get the pop up info tag and it lists all four versions Mac 32/54 and PC 32/64 but I see no information to indicate which version DIM installed.  The pieces of Figure Metrics are in DAZ Studio when I run it but I get a message that it needs to be registered when I try and use the measuring icon. Thank you for the prompt help btw!  I don't know what I am doing or not doing?  I installed it using DIM to make sure everything got placed where it should.  I use the default settings for DIM so nothing custom to confuse future installs.

Sorry I forgot your first question it is not listed at all under help/plugins.

Ok Your questions prompted me to go to my product library page and download Figure Metrics from there, still using the DIM, and this time it downloaded and installed the DS 4.8 as well as the DS 4.5+ and the pluging showed up under help/asbout installed plugins and I was able to register it.  It's kind of strange the version in the DIM didn't install it right but the version off the product library page using DIM did but no matters it is working now.  I probably would not have figured it all out without your help and pointed questions though so thank yo very much.

Figure Metrics is the script that gives you a figure's vital statistics, Measure Metrics is the actual plug-in that it uses to do so (and which you can use separately).
