That really sux for you :( You should set up paypal account, and link it up with your bank savings account. If you also link up the credit card as a 'backup' method, Pay pal will pay immediately from your bank. It's what I use :cheese:

I have PayPal. But for security reasons, I don't let it draw funds from my bank account, only from my credit card. My bank is VERY QUICK about taking money off it, but sits on money put on it...

Pay pal is one of the worlds safer internet payment methods... according to pay pal not bank details are even given to the person you buy something off.

I know, that's not the issue.

The issue is that my credit card is covered with somewhat better terms when it comes to incidents like unauthorized use; although PayPal does have some beefy security, the weakest link is often the username-password combo, which is vulnerable to keyloggers, trojans and such that may lurk on my desktop despite my precautions.

That makes sense. Unfortunately hackers will never stop their plight :( It's sad really, why dont they just take their skills to a real job and 'earn for a living' like the rest of us!

And some of the viruses they come up with are for nothing other than corrupting systems. What are they trying to achieve?!? Cyber vandalisim?

@marcus: Somtimes yes, they do it just because they can, or to get back at someone, etc.

    Anyhoo.
    Re-rendered that velocirapty image: http://sylxeriaguardian.deviantart.com/art/Velocirapty-in-the-Hall-v2-325986201
Reinhard tonemapping rather than Camera simulated. Less saturated and more even distribution of light :3

    My attempt at a maxwell version of the scene have ended in failure so far ^_^;
I edited in both versions. On the left is the newer indigo render, on the right is the original indigo render (Different tonemapping in both).
Not sure which I like better ^_^

Very nice, I like the left one best! The image isn't too exposed to light, and it has better clarity :)

Have you tried giving the figure a more glossy or higher % of specular map. Might bring him to life a bit more. For example, snake scales are rather glossy and have a noticeable specular. They look wet ehen they're not :)

    Eh well he didn't have a specular map ^_^;
I did use a specular map on most everything else (3DTotal's textures almost all have specular maps supplied with them)
    .
I don't really understand much about Indigo's specular/highlights. (And no the Specular material you see in that drop-down list is a fully transparent material type. Water or glass sort of stuff. I was confused about that at first XD )
    .
So uh... Indigo doesn't really have a plain and simple "Adjust this slider to a % value" to adjust specular brightness. Without a spec map, you just adjust the Exponent value, which is greyed out once you insert an image to use. After that, the Multiplier adjusts it.
    .
Beyond that, I keep forgetting what does what XD
    .
    .
*edit 2* By the way, the Glossy material type is another glass type material and is thus transparent. It makes a rougher more Frosted-Glass type surface :3
Specular is for smooth glass, bubbles, and water, and Transmitter is for ... Well honestly I have no idea what it's for. Usually people use a Diffuse material to make stuff like TV Screens and other surfaces that should emit light =/
Null Materials don't seem to do anything XD

All you need to do is re-use the diffuse texture, if you got Photo shop make it black and white and try to neuturalise the grey so that there is still darker areas but less prodominent. Dont make it too dark or too light.

Specular settings vary between 3d software, and I dont use Indido... only Daz and 3dsMax

Track down some reptile photos... snakes are good for reference! You'll be able to see that they appear slimey, I have handled a snake personally, and I know it's only an appearance, they acually feel like leather lol

Naw Indigo is just a render engine :3
They have an exporter for 3dsMax and Maya too XD
Would be sorta interesting to see one for Carrara and or D|S. Preferably the former, but either would be cool XD
(Heh the developers even hang out on the forums and take suggestions from the members. How cool is that?)
    .
    .
ANyways, will see about that in a bit :3
Might just re-render it with some additional shiny on the raptor-hide. Probably won't let it sit for eight hours this time though.

Looks like Blender Foundation isn't offering the original Venom's Lab series anymore. Replaced all those interesting characters (One character per project) with a single one. A llama thingie I think. Sigh...

I got into the group home. I got my desktop set up.

Great! I know that takes a load off. Breathe deeply, smile, and put that desktop to use looking for a job and creating.

Good day! It's Saturday here, and the only real complaint I have is that I go back to work on Monday (lol)!!! :snake:

Been busy reconstructing my music studio and writing, haven't taken much time to post around. I'm taking a bit of a break because my fingers hurt from jamming out all night (lol)! I'm eight years out of practice, but re-learning really darn fast!

Bought a 6-strng bass as well. I'm broke as broke can be (I do have food money and med money) but with all this gear I don't need to go out. Today is shopping though, I need a USB cable to get udio into the computer from the effects pedal and a strap for the bass (forgot it yesterday argh).

Once I suck less I'll post some music. Going to be a few weeks, though - it's been long enough that I need to rebuild my muscle strength and accuracy. Right now I have to play Real Slow(tm) to not screw up. :ahhh:

*ps* my cobra and tiger shark arrived so I have a full compliment of toys! I still need Hedorah and Destroyah for Godzilla, and maybe Mothra if I hang it from the ceiling fan...

ohh hadn't thought of the ceiling. what a great idea!!!

just got back from a walk with my doggie. dang buggy out. and the sky is so dark grey it's like mordor.

if it wasn't for my doggie, i'd be in danger of being a shut-in.

    sigh

deciding if today is another sims petz day or FFVIII. a couple new contents to install. and got to get started on 2013 calendars. only 106 days left to get it done and delivered. and been meaning to make a fairy freebie. and a bunch of other projects. almost lunch time.

Alien vs Predator is on TV, haz some flashy FX and a couple of alien instancings scenes that are a little OTT ;)
