- In the search bar on the right-hand side of the Blender Prefernces window, search for "Daz".
Question:
* There is no search bar in the current version of Blender (3.2 /something). What do i do?
Hints much appreciated.

Are you in the Add Ons tab of the Preferences dialogue? Where are those instructions?
I've come across a thread, where someone made blender 3.x work with DAZ Studio, probably in the blender thread of this forums (...).
Basically the Bridge officially only is working with Blender 2.9 or so.
Edit: haven't tried yet, might try to have blender versions in parallel and so on at some point. Will roll-up on stuff roughly soon-ish, as i intend to try to use some things in computer games, e.g. with the godot-engine (out of sheer stubbornness, which word has more double letters?? / astronomic units).
I'm afraid i don't fully remember, other than no options showing up within Blender, where the instructions mentioned that they should. I think i followed more or less official instructions, but probably am running the wrong version of Blender, for it to work out of the box?
I have a lot of issues with the DAZ to Blebder Bridge my self, but installing the add on is not one of them.
I'm using Blender 3.3, but it was the same with Blender 3.2.x
I don't know what documentation you are refering to and how detailed the instructions are in it, but if it helps, here is the Blender side of instalation:
1- Go to the Edit menu in the top left corner.
2- Select 'Preferences', then go to Add-ons (on the left pane)
3- The search option is on the upper right of that dialog box. Enter DAZ there...
4- Only the add ons with the word DAZ will be displayed now. Click the check box at the left of 'Import/Export: Daz to Blender'
5- Close that window, press 'N' if the Sidebar isn't already displayed on the right of the workspace, the 'Daz to Blender' bridge should now be available there.
If what you mean by that is that there is no 'File', 'Edit', 'Render', 'Window' or 'Help' menues in the usual place at the top left of your Blender working space (if it looks like picture #1 instead of picture #2), these menues are still available by clicking on the 3 little lines on the extreme top left (see picture #3).
You can also restore the default headder by right clicking on an empty space of the top menu bar and left clicking on 'Show menus'.
I have searched for other threads about the latest DAZ to Blender add-on but this is the only one that comes up.
I don't know if this is the right place to ask other questions about my own issues with the bridge, so, I'll ask them here and if it's not OK, let me know, I'll post them in another thread.
1- The characters I import from DAZ appear in the default A pose, though with correct facial expression.
2- Trying to apply a pose saved in DAZ only results in turning the character around. No actual pose change.
3- Clothes don't fit properly. The skirt is poking through the apron (or rather the other way around). Same for the breasts through the blouse.
Am I doing something wrong?
Are there some quick fixes for those issues?
Also (and that's just me, not an actual concern with the bridge) I don't know how to hide the posing rig.
I tried to go the other way around: Exporting the beer mug I have modeled in Blender to DAZ. But it looks all wrong. The mugs I burchased in the DAZ marketplace are empty (and with only a thin glass surface instead of a thick one like an actual mug) and I can't model directly in DAZ, I don't like Hexagon.
I spent quite some time to position the 10 mugs in her hands (inspired by an Oktoberfest picture on the net), I would really like not having to do it over again in Blender.
Thanks for your help :)

OK for that, just have to uncheck 'bones' in the 'Viewport Overlay' controls.
I have DAS Studio 4.21 PRO installed on my D: drive (working fine there). I installed DAS to Blender and everything seems to be loaded in the DasCentral. I dont have the SCRIPTS menu icon. Is there something I can do besides unstalling from the D: and reinstalling on the C:?
Check the File menu.
Why use the DazToBlender bridge when you can use Diffeomorphic to perfectly import whole scenes into Blender with correct morphs and poses.
With Diffeomorphic I almost alway have problems with the clothing. Especially when there are more than one layer of garments. Like a vest and a skirt over a blouse over a braw and panties. The layers get mixed up and you see the braw or blouse over the vest, etc. Sometimes even the skin at some places.
I thought that the bridge would be better but I see that it is not. Probably even worst.
@denisnormandin As for diffeomorphic, most outfits use a smoothing modifier, you need to turn on the interactive update to export it to blender or obj or any other format.
Isn't that automaticaly on? I wouldn't konw how to turn them off anyway.
No it's not because it is heavy on the viewport, so it's usually off. You can turn it on in the mesh smoothing parameters.
Wow, I did not know about the interactive update thing, that will for sure solve some problems I have with one of the suits I like to use. Thanks, @Padone!
Wow! That's a game changer for me! Just made a new import of the same character and almost all the clothing issues I spent hours correcting in my prrevious import were gone, just two details to fix that can be done in maybe two or three minuts. I'll keep the version I have edited for this time, but in the futur... I'll know what to do.
Thanks SO MUCH!
Maybe you can tell me what to do when some part of the body doesn't come out the right color. In this case, the thoung is almost white in Cycles. Is the correction easyer to do before export or must it be done in Blender?
I don't know what a thoung is. As for diffeomorphic the best option you have for materials is the bsdf option, that should convert quite good in almost all cases.
Sorry for my bad English, I misspelled. I'm French and sometimes my thoung (tonge) trips in my mouth when I speek English. Apparently, I can also stumble when I write. ;)
That being said: Are you talking about a BSDF option on the DAZ side or on the Blender side? If it's in DAZ, I don't know how to set that option.
On the Blender side, there seams to be a problem with the 'Normal Map', the 'Default UVs' are missing (at least thet is what I think it means when that field is red). Is that an issue that occured during export with Diffeomorphic?
In your example you're using the principled option that's expected to be fixed in some cases, because the principled shader is limited as for iray conversion. Also you use the HD morph for the teeth so you need either to export HD or remove the HD morph in daz before exporting.

I am sorry, but this is way beyond my level of understanding of the DAZ or Blender environments. I looked around and read as much as I could of the Diffeomorphic documentation. But I'm still quite lost.
How can you tell that some parts are HD morphs and others are not? You also say that I am using Principled. I don't remember choosing that, so how can I choose otherwise. Is it something that can be remedied after the fact or do I have to re-import the character all over again? That implies correcting the pose again to fit the props in the scene that were not in the Daz set (which is a bit tedious).
The material method is straight in the import dialog as in the picture I posted above you can't miss it. If you don't have it be sure to update the plugin, and/or look in the global settings if you disabled it.
Yuo can spot the used morphs in daz studio by the currently used tool in the parameter tab. There's usually a "mouth realism" that's HD.
Thanks for your time and patience Padone, it is really appreciated.
I have found the Material section in the Global settings bacause I could not find the Material method in the Import dialog (I guess I missed the unmissable).
I have also re-imported the character in a new blend scene, HD this time... Mouth problem solved.
Now I guess I'll have to either delete the character (and all Daz related things) from my previous scene and append the new HD character's blend file, or go the other way around and append a cleaned version of the old scene with only the wanted props and lights to the new.
I'll try one and if something bugs, I'll switch methods.
But thanks again.
When I got into 3d modeling a few years back, it was only to build up scenes as reference for my 'canvas and brush' paintings (more conveniant and cheaper than hiring models). Now that I am getting into 3d for the sake of actual 3d creation, I'm realizing how steep the learning curve can be.
I am into 3D from a long time and never stopped to learn it's always evolving, the trick is to have fun learning new things. Good luck with your scenes.
I recently uninstalled my Daz to Blender bridge using the Install Manager, because I couldn't figure out where to find the script for it in DS and it seemed to be acting up so I thought I'd do a clean reinstall anyways, but now the bridge doesn't show up at all in my Install Manager. I even went to the page in my products and tried to download it from there, but when I clicked download, Install Manager shows no files for Product Sku: 70891, it's just blank, nothing there to download. Now I super regret uninstalling the bridge even though it was acting up, because at least then I knew it was installed and there somewhere. I really don't want to have to bother with Daz Central for this, but if it's the only way for me to get the bridge back, I just might. Any ideas/suggestions? Note: I'm on a Mac, so I wonder if that's part of the problem somehow??
Thank you for the answers so far. And apologies for the absence, i had to bump into the forum account page with the "my threads" option, first.
What i tried is not much;
- Install Blender 3.4 somehow, update to the latest version.
- Reinstall Daz-to-Blender in DIM several times / somehow.
To clarify: i find Edit->Settings ~ Add-ons... relevant sources are checked (default) - but i can't find anything "daz" with the search, nor by scrolling. All sorts of import-tools, nothing with "armature", nor "daz".
Should i be using Blender 2.8 / 3.0 / 3.2 instead? Should i uninstall Blender completely? Reinstalling DAZ would take a long time, because i was shopping too much. And before putting it on the real machine, i would like to have had some basic success with DAZ-Blender (-Godot).
Edit: "1.6.2 works fine here with blender 3.4.1, be sure to clean install" according to @Padone / I'll give it another shot with diffeomorphic then.
